Give a Gig Week
From the 24th to the 31st of March Youth Music will be putting on their very first ever Give a Gig Week.
If you’re a musician, vocalist, rapper, singer or just love music this is for you! Give a Gig Week is a nationwide extravaganza of live music and fundraising. There aim is to put on 100 gigs of all shapes and sizes, that will take place around the country.
Gigs can be any size, any genre and anywhere from your local pub to an arena tour or festival. The money raised will go towards supporting children and young people in challenging circumstances. So whether you’re a musician, promoter, venue owner, or simply want to use the power of music to help young people, you can start by registering at Give a Gig and using the hastag #GiveaGigWeek on social media.
Youth Music is a national charity investing in music-making projects for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances. They work with young people facing difficult issues like poverty, homelessness, bullying and mental health issues. They do this by providing support to them through the power of music practical, creative music-making of every genre, style and technique.
